ATLANTA — Motorists who normally travel FM 2088 in Upshur County will need to find an alternate route on Saturday, August 12. Union Pacific plans to conduct maintenance work on their crossing on FM 2088. As a result, the area will be closed to through-traffic on this date.
Traffic will be detoured on a signed route onto US 271 and SH 154. Portable message boards have been placed near the railroad crossing to warn motorists of the scheduled road closure. The construction schedule and road closure can change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen problems.
