UT Health East Texas Physicians  welcomes Muhammad Majeed, MD to Tyler

Tyler (August 3, 2023) — UT Health East Texas is expanding gastroenterology services in Tyler  with the addition of Muhammad Majeed, MD. Dr. Majeed is a gastroenterologist and sees patients 18 years and older.

Dr. Majeed’s special areas of medical interest include general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease management and challenging polypectomies. “I am drawn to the procedural nature of gastroenterology, as I have always found joy in hands-on work,” he said. “Additionally, I strongly advocate for proactive medicine, and I firmly believe that screening colonoscopies serve as a valuable tool in reducing mortality and morbidity within the general population.”

Dr. Majeed is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with empathy and compassion while fostering a collaborative environment. He is committed to advancing his professional growth as a teacher through evidence-based medicine. 

“I embarked on a journey in medicine driven by an unwavering passion to create a meaningful difference in the lives of others,” he said. “The prospect of relieving a patient’s suffering, offering solace and fostering well-being for individuals and communities has always deeply resonated with me.”
