FRISCO – Texas A&M University-Commerce is set for the 2023 Southland Conference Football Media Day, held virtually on Monday.

The Lions’ trio of first year coach Clint Dolezel, senior defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez (Georgetown – East View), and sophomore wide receiver Keith Miller (The Colony) are scheduled to appear at 1:45 p.m. Dolezel will available for a zoom call with national and local media following his appearance on ESPN+. Media members interested in participating in the zoom call can email avi.mehta@tamuc.edu for the call information.
Along with interviews with representatives from all eight teams in the Southland, the preseason poll will also be released during the Media Day show on Monday morning.
The Lions are going into their second season in NCAA Division I FCS and the Southland Conference. Last season, A&M-Commerce went 3-3 in conference play and finished with the top ranked defense in the SLC. This season marks the first under the direction of Dolezel.
On Friday, Max Epps (Spring – Dekaney), Sean-Krystoff King (Humble – Summer Creek), Daryion Taylor (Humble – Atascocita), and Leon Young (Dallas – Cedar Hill) earned preseason all-Southland honors.
