TXU Energy, PATH, and Meals on Wheels Partner for Fan Distribution
Event will help seniors in need of assistance to “Beat the Heat”
TYLER — June 27, 2023 — With extreme summer heat putting additional strain on the most vulnerable Texans, TXU Energy is teaming up with People Attempting to Help (PATH) and Meals on Wheels of East Texas to provide relief.
On Wednesday, June 28, Meals on Wheels and PATH will begin distributing box fans to seniors. Congressman Nathaniel Moran will be in attendance.
This year, TXU Energy is donating $5,000 to provide fans for Tyler-area families in need. The two nonprofit agencies will deliver 200 box fans to Meals on Wheels recipients. Another 1,000 fans will be distributed to PATH clients meeting eligibility requirements.
The fan donation is part of TXU Energy’s signature Beat the Heat program, which, for 25 years has helped thousands of Texans stay safe and cool.

In addition, TXU Energy continues to provide bill-payment assistance to customers in need through its TXU Energy Aid℠ program. For 40 years, these funds, donated by employees, customers, and the company, have been distributed by TXU Energy Aid partner agencies.
