Upshur County Sheriff’s Office update
Update from UCEMC:
Upshur Rural is reporting 16,303 (33%) still out and SWEPCO was still in excess of 3,000 out.
There are a lot of moving parts at the Civic Center and more resources coming. There will be a Point of Distribution up and running tomorrow with Water, Ice and MRE for drive thru distribution at the Yamboree Park. The Civic Center will be open again tomorrow as well as the Ore City Cafeteria and the Big Sandy Community Center. The feeding units will be operational and plan to have 650 hot meals for lunch and dinner to be spread out throughout the county. The meal will be delivered to the cooling centers and delivered from there if needed.

Diana ISD cafeteria opens 11 o’clock
Ore city ISD cafeteria opens 8 o’clock
Sandwiches , water and MRE will be provided at both locations while supplies last.
The Civic Center will open at 10am and we will have the drive thru pod for water and ice starting at 10am as well.
The Big Sandy cooling station will be open from 9 am to 7 pm tomorrow at the community center. There will be water and meals.

My husband and I and our two dog’s are in need of an air conditioner we live out in county at 915 Bison rd we got power after 13 hours but we are struggling to stay cool with this heat and we are doing our best to keep our pet’s cool we are not going to make it unless we can get an air conditioner. Please help us
You need to call in the guards. It is not funny anymore. States of emergency. Weres FEMA????? We don’t WATER, MRE, ICE. WE NEED HELP!!!!!!!!
