Stop Child Abuse 5K and Fun Run

Donut Turn Your Back on Child Abuse

Benefiting The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center

The Fourth Annual Stop Child Abuse 5K and Fun Run benefiting The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center will be held on Saturday, September 16th at Hallsville East Elementary in Hallsville. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m.  Cash prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for male and female 5K participants.

The Stop Child Abuse 5K and Fun Run was established in 2019 by Esmeralda Barron, race director and supporter of The Martin House CAC.  This year’s theme is Donut Turn Your Back on Child Abuse.

Proceeds will be used to provide vital forensic interviews, advocacy and referral support, and therapy to more than 600 children who come to The Martin House CAC each year due to concerns of sexual or physical abuse or witnessing violent crimes. Through a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach, hope, healing, and justice is possible.

Runner entries are $30 virtual, $35 for adults, $25 for kids 12 and older, and include a t-shirt. Online registration and sponsorship opportunities are available now at www.themartinhousecac.org or by contacting Esmeralda Barron at ebr.inevergiveup@outlook.com or Kathy Rae at kathy@themartinhousecac.org or by calling 903-807-0189.
