ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

Proposals for the Gilmer Independent School District – Early Childhood Center will be received by the Construction Manager, Jackson Construction, until Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Proposals should be emailed to Bryan Parma, and sent to bids@jacksonconstruction.com. Telephoned Proposals will not be accepted. No submitted Proposal may be changed, amended or modified once submitted after the listed Proposal receipt time. A Proposal may be withdrawn, however, and resubmitted any time prior to the time set for receipt of Proposals. The Proposal will be based on the base proposal work and proposal alternates. Proposals not received by the indicated time will not be opened.

The project consists of a new school built on an existing campus. Coordination of construction is required with on-going school operations and existing buildings remaining in-use during the construction process (review the project staging plan on the drawings).

Site construction consists of general earthwork, building pad engineered fill installation, new storm drainage, new site/building utilities, concrete paving, asphaltic concrete paving, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, landscaping, irrigation, site masonry sign wall, site graphics, site signage, site lighting, pre-engineered freestanding canopies, and pre-engineered wall mounted canopies.

Building construction consists of a concrete foundation, concrete slab-on-grade, pre-engineered metal building, masonry veneer, metal panel veneer/trim, metal panel soffits/trim, truncated standing seam metal roof as specified/detailed, concrete masonry units, drywall partitions, millwork, hollow metal frames/doors, wood doors, aluminum entrance systems, kitchen equipment provision/ installation, building accessories as specified/detailed, and building plumbing/ electrical/ mechanical/ fire protection systems. Finishes include sealed concrete, rubber base, painted concrete masonry, textured/painted drywall, painted flooring system, ceramic tile floor/wall, luxury vinyl tile, suspended acoustical ceiling, and exposed painted ceiling.

Electronic PDF format Contract Documents can be obtained by contacting the Construction Manager for distribution – there is no charge for access to the documents via this method. Printed Contract Documents may be obtained at the Office of the Construction Manager by depositing a check in the amount of $100.00 per set, payable to Jackson Construction. Deposits will be refunded to bidders who return the documents in good and usable condition within ten (10) days after opening of bids. Additionally, the contract documents may be reviewed at the Office of the Architect, reviewed at the Office of the Construction Manager, or purchased for the cost of reproduction from Wolf Prints, 1300 East Whaley, Suite D, Longview, Texas, (903) 753-1721. All copies of any portion of the contact documents shall remain the property of the Architect no matter how secured and shall be returned to the Construction Manager immediately after the Proposal Date.

All Proposals are encouraged to submit on the Proposal Form provided in the Bidding Documents. Proposers are required to fully complete the Proposal Form. Incomplete Proposal Forms may be a cause for submittal rejection. Proposals will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after the opening of all submitted Proposals.
