| With the 88th Regular Session ending last week, Gov. Greg Abbott has called his first special session, with only two narrow issues placed on the call – human smuggling and property tax relief.
Despite these parameters, Rep. Brian Harrison re-filed the Texas COVID Vaccine Freedom Act, which was killed by House leadership during the regular session. Rep. Harrison has promised to continue to file this legislation, which would enshrine informed consent into statute and make it unlawful to administer a COVID vaccine to any Texan who does not fully consent of their own will. TFVC applauds Rep. Harrison’s commitment to ending all COVID mandates in Texas, and we will continue to support him session after session until this bill passes.
