NE Texas Habitat is Helping Residents Beat the Heat

Northeast Texas Habitat will be continuing our Beat the Heat program this summer. This program is designed to help people stay cool and have a healthier summer. Beat the Heat will last until the middle of August.

Eligibility:

  • Over the age of 60
  • Those with physical disabilities or chronic illnesses worsened by           extreme heat.
  • Households with children 7 or younger
  • Willingness and able to pay $30 of the cost
  • Applicant must reside in the home
  • Meet the income guidelines

Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing ministry dedicated to eradicating the devastating effects of poverty housing. To date, the organization has partnered with 917 households to improve their health, safety and financial stability at home. The organization serves Gregg, Harrison, and Upshur counties.
