AFC-TX Statement On School Choice Legislation

AFC-TX Spokesman Nathan Cunneen issued the following statement after House Bill 100 failed to come to a vote during regular session:

“This year has been the best in history for the school choice movement. Thirty-one states now have publicly-created private school choice programs – and eight states have passed programs that allow all children to access a school that works best for them. We remain confident it is just a matter of time before Texas joins the growing list of states giving their children the ability to attend the school of their parents’ choice. We will continue fighting for the children of Texas in the forthcoming special election and special sessions.
