REGISTRATION OPENS THURSDAY, MAY 18, FOR THE 2023 TEXAS CONFERENCE FOR WOMEN
The First Fully In-Person Event Since 2019
AUSTIN, May 17, 2023 – For the first time in three years, the Texas Conference for Women will be held fully in person on Thursday, November 16, at the Austin Convention Center.
Registration for the event – which is expected to sell out – opens this Thursday, May 18, at 9 a.m. CT at www.TexasConferenceforWomen.org.
The Texas Conference for Women showcases pathbreaking women leaders, offers a community of women supporting women, and provides practical tips to help women advance in their careers and personal lives.
This year’s keynote speakers exemplify a new generation of leadership. They include:
- Jacinda Ardern, former prime minister of New Zealand, who has been widely praised for ushering in a new generation of strong, empathetic leadership.
- Elizabeth Banks, actress, producer, writer, and director who The New York Times described as “always working on something ahead of whatever the news or cultural mood is going to be.”
- Gail Devers, five-time Olympian, nine-time World Champion, three-time Olympic gold medalist – and long-time health advocate
- Jameela Jamil, Good Place actress, writer, host, and activist on issues ranging from mental health to climate change.
The theme for the 2023 conference is “Passion. Purpose. Possibility: The Power of Us” – reflecting women’s growing desire to find meaning at work and the benefit of coming together in community.
It also reflects a shift in what is on women’s minds in 2023, according to an annual Conference for Women survey. Last year, women’s top interests were mental health and self-care. This year, they are advancement and leadership.
The Texas Conference for Women is presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance, and generously sponsored by Target; Cisco; Dell Technologies; Horizon Therapeutics; United Airlines; Accenture LLP; Deloitte; Insight; National Instruments; NXP Semiconductors; Phillips 66; Q2; Tokyo Electron (TEL); United Healthcare; Google; H-E-B; State Street Corporation, Texas Woman’s University and VISA; and media sponsors Austin City Limits Radio 97.1FM; Lucy 93.3; and The Texas Tribune.
