SFA welcomes, celebrates new Lumberjacks at Axe’cepted Students Day
NACOGDOCHES (05/08/2023)– Angelica Awtry from Diana attended Stephen F. Austin State University’s Axe’cepted Students Day on April 1, which is intended to welcome incoming students to their new home.
The event provides incoming undergraduate students admitted for the upcoming fall semester a full-day slate of comprehensive sessions to help orient them to SFA and life in East Texas.
Students, as well as their family members and educational supporters, were able to speak with current students, faculty and staff and have questions answered about their upcoming college experience. The day included a meet and greet with academic deans; tours of key campus areas and services, including the Health and Wellness Hub, Student Recreation Center, and Academic Assistance and Resource Center; information sessions; and an involvement mixer, among others.
Enrolling approximately 12,000 students, Stephen F. Austin State University offers more than 80 undergraduate majors and 120 areas of study within six colleges – business, education, fine arts, forestry and agriculture, liberal and applied arts, and sciences and mathematics.
