Texas Department of Public Safety – Allen Premium Outlet shooting

Below is the most up to date information from the Texas Department of Public Safety. There are no interviews or press conferences scheduled for 05/07/23.

Allen – The Texas Department of Public Safety extends our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and citizens who were affected by the shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets.

The Allen Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Texas Rangers, and Texas Department of Public Safety are conducting a joint investigation and providing continued security at the Allen Premium Outlet. The public’s safety and a thorough investigation are paramount to all agencies involved.

The agencies are working to provide citizens that have personal belongings and vehicles in the outlet mall area a safe and expeditious plan to retrieve their property. This plan should be in place, and public notified, in the afternoon hours on 05/07/2023.

All media inquiries should be directed to the Texas Department of Public Safety who is the lead investigating agency. We do ask that the public call 1-800-CALL-FBI if they have any information. Witnesses can also upload digital media to fbi.gov/allenmallshooting.
