American Legion Spring Gun Show A Success
WINNSBORO, TEXAS 05/04/2023 —
Carl E. Azebell American Legion Post 340 presented their Spring Gun Show on April 29th & 30th, 2023 to appreciative crowds.
Outdoor sportsmen, hunters, and gun enthusiasts converged at the Winnsboro City Civic Center located at the City Park, 915 Wheeler Drive. Doors opened at 9 am both days and it didn’t take long for the building to fill up with folks looking for deals. Nearly 800 people shopped at the show before closing time Sunday afternoon.
Vendors selling guns, ammo, knives, powder, reloading supplies, and much more seemed to be happy with the crowds. With 35 vendors and almost 100 tables, everyone was a winner. A nice addition to the lineup this year was the presence of East Texas Rust BBQ selling their mouthwatering dishes.
A raffle was held during the event for a CZ P-10 M Pistol. Tickets were sold through Legion members and onsite at the show with the winner being drawn Sunday afternoon. The winner was Gregory Bowling of Fort Worth, Texas.
The next show will be the Fall Gun Show set for September 16th and 17th.
Every year the post produces a gun show in the spring and the fall. Proceeds from these shows go to supporting organizations in the community, local veterans in need, scholarships, and tuition for attendees to the American Legion Boys’ State program.
