| HOUSTON, 4/28/23 – Bedrock City Comic Co., a chain of six comic book and pop culture stores in the greater Houston area, will be hosting FREE COMIC BOOK DAY. Six of their locations (Galleria, Spring, Clear Lake, Heights, Sugar Land, Katy) will welcome thousands of attendees for the annual event.
“We are so excited for our biggest Free Comic Book Day ever on May 6th! We know it’s an event the Houston community looks forward to each year, and we’re working with our comic creators and local artists to make this year’s event one of the best yet!” said Bedrock City marketing manager, Dylan Dusebout. “Free Comic Book Day is a great opportunity for newcomers to dive into the world of comics and for longtime readers to try a new series they may not have picked up otherwise. We encourage fans everywhere to visit their local Bedrock City location on Saturday, May 6 to celebrate!”
During the event, Bedrock City will host a signing with comic author/artist, THOM ZAHLER, at the Galleria area location from 10:00AM-7:00PM. Zahler will be joined by 20+ local artists at all locations, as well as cosplayers from Houston Hero Headquarters!
DOG MAN himself will also be appearing at the Galleria area location and meeting his young fans all day! Kids will have the opportunity to get a free Dog Man comic book and check out all of his books in English and Spanish!
Free Comic Book Day 2023 will feature thousands of copies from forty-five free titles available starting at 10:00AM when doors open on Saturday morning. The titles will be comprised of hit properties from Marvel, DC, Image, Viz, and more. |
