One of the greatest responsibilities of the Texas General Land Office (GLO) is keeping our beaches clean. On April 22nd, our Adopt-A-Beach Coastwide Spring Cleanup takes place at 25 unique locations along the Texas coastline.

Check-in: 8:30am
Cleanup: 9am-12pm 
The Adopt-A-Beach program began in the fall of 1986 when 2,800 volunteers picked up 124 tons of trash. Since then, more than 563,000 Texas Adopt-A-Beach volunteers have picked up nearly 10,000 tons of trash from Texas beaches.
