Cruise for Success car giveaway set for Thursday on Kilgore campus

Kilgore College will award a brand-new Chevrolet Malibu to a student at the fourth annual Cruise for Success car giveaway on Thursday, April 20.

Ceremonies will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the Lee Mall/Mike Miller plaza with the introduction of the 10 finalists.

The first eight student names drawn will win $500 gift cards. With two students left, two car fobs will be drawn, with only one starting the new car.

The student with the lucky car fob will drive away in the new car – courtesy of Patterson Chevrolet of Kilgore – and the runner-up will win a $1,000 gift card.

The Cruise for Success program allows qualifying KC students to earn entries throughout the fall and spring semesters for a chance to win a new car, sponsored by Patterson Chevrolet Kilgore.

KC graduate and NHRA top fuel dragster Steve Torrence, who serves as the official spokesperson for Cruise for Success, will speak at the event as well as Rickey Clark, managing partner for Patterson Chevrolet and Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Kilgore. Music will be provided by DJ Juice.
