CASA volunteers sworn in
By Chris Derrick
East Texas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a non-profit organization that works with children in the Child Welfare System in Upshur, Gregg and Rusk Counties. CASA volunteers are everyday people – teachers, business people, retirees, stay-at-home moms, and grandparents – who are committed to making a difference for children in our community.
We have a huge need for volunteers for our kids and are always looking for help from the community. We recently had a class sworn in for new volunteers.
