Texas Family Newsletter: TFP Priority Bills on the Move!

TWO TFP PRIORITY BILLS ADVANCE PAST SENATE, SENT TO HOUSE

Friend,

TFP Statement on Passage of SB12

Texas Family Project strongly commends Senator Bryan Hughes and the Texas Senate for listening to the voices of concerned citizens and for passing Senate Bill 12. No Texas child should be exposed to the sexually explicit content found at drag shows.

TFP would also like to thank Lt. Governor Dan Patrick for making this common-sense, pro-family legislation a priority this session and encourage the Texas House to act quickly on protecting Texas kids and passing SB 12.

Texas Family Project Policy Director Austin Griesinger issued the following statement

“We want to thank Senator Donna Campbell and all of the Republican senators who listened to the voices of the grassroots Texans and removed the controversial amendment to SB 14 that would have continued to allow children to receive abusive gender transition drugs. This action puts SB 14 on a better path to becoming law and protecting Texas children from abuse. We are grateful that the process was respected and Senator Campbell and Republicans in the Texas Senate prioritized protecting Texas kids over listening to special interest groups who want to play politics. Today was a win for Texas kids.”

Texas Family Project urges lawmakers in Austin to pass Senate Bill 14 in its current form, sending a clear message that the safety and well-being of our children is a top priority for the state of Texas. We will continue to advocate for the protection of Texas families.

ICYMI: DOKTX’s Sara Gonzales Booted from “All-Ages Friendly” Drag Show in Fort Worth

Last week, YET ANOTHER so-called “all ages” drag show took place at Tulips in Fort Worth.

Our sister organization, Defend Our Kids Texas, sent a team of undercover citizen journalists led by Executive Director Sara Gonzales.

As Sara attempted to enter the venue and attend the event that she had tickets for, she was denied entry. The venue had printed and handed out pictures of her to performers to keep them on the lookout.

They knew ahead of time that if you plan on hosting a drag show with children present in the state of Texas, we will be there to expose the sexual chaos happening in front of children.
