Kilgore College choirs will perform concerts this week in Kilgore, Longview

The Kilgore College Department of Music and Dance will present “Harmonic Horizons: A Celebration of Folk Songs from Around the World” featuring the KC Chorale and the KC Connection.

Two concerts are set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Van Cliburn Auditorium on the Kilgore campus; and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview.

The concerts are free and open to the public.

Both concerts will feature folk songs broken up into categories of regions of the world including songs from the U.S., Central and South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia.

Student musicians performing will include Andrew Beckman, Brady Gales, Princess Garza, Amara Gibson, Nikola Goodrich, Joseph Horton, Chloe Kavanaugh, Ma’Kyia Lachney, Victoria Root and Victor Roque.

Choirs at KC are directed by Lauren Clark.
