KC Esports has best season on record, will compete for conference championship this week

The Kilgore College Rangers Esports program, under head coach Andy Taylor, is having its best season on record.

The program has more than 40 players across five competitive teams, three of which have made it to the playoffs – and one of its varsity teams (KC Valorant Varsity Plus Team) will compete for a conference championship this week.

This is the third season of the Rangers competing in N.A.C.E. (National Association of Collegiate Esports), the largest national collegiate Esports league in North America.

This fall, KC teams competed in Valorant, Rocket League, Smash Bros Ultimate, Overwatch 2 and Fortnite. In the spring, KC will field teams for Call of Duty, Chess and League of Legends.
