The League of Women Voters of Texas
Equips Voters for the Nov. 8 General Election
Austin, TX – Early voting for the 2022 General Election starts on Monday, October 24th, and lasts through Friday, November 4th. The League of Women Voters encourages all eligible voters to cast a ballot in this election, whether in person during early voting or on Election Day or by using Vote by Mail. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. That is also the last day for Vote by Mail ballots to be received at election offices.

The best way for Texans to prepare to vote is to go to VOTE411.org, the League’s trusted, unbiased, nonpartisan election resource. On VOTE411.org, voters can compare candidates, make their choices, and print out their selections for their ballot. A printable PDF version of the Voters Guide can be found at LWVTexas.org.

“There is a lot of misinformation and disinformation in the public domain, meant to diminish people’s faith in our democracy. The League will stand and defend democracy by giving voters the reliable, trustworthy tools they need to vote confidently. Both VOTE411.org and the League website contain the information on candidates all voters need! We do not support or oppose any political party or candidate. We simply want voters to know where the candidates stand on the issues that impact their lives,” said Joyce LeBombard, President of the League of Women Voters of Texas.

“The League wants to remind voters that they have freedom to vote without any intimidation. Our partners at Election Protection are ready and willing to help voters who face obstacles to voting. Please contact them if you are experiencing voter harassment or other barriers to voting! They can be reached at 866OURVOTE.org, or through the Election Protection Voter Hotlines in various languages,” added LeBombard.
