Oil museum will host Kids’ Day, Educators’ Day Sept. 3

The Kilgore College East Texas Oil Museum will host Kids’ Day and Educators’ Day on Saturday, Sept. 3.

On that day, children age 12 and under will receive free admission from 10 a.m. to noon.  Educators with identification (plus one guest) can tour the museum with no admission fees all day.

Kids Day will feature scavenger hunts, photos with Ranger mascots Ace and Hannah and Charlie’s Sno-Balls.

There will also be science demonstrations, a story time – reading “Bluebonnet the Armadillo at the East Texas Oil Museum” – and door prizes including a family membership ($100 value), two $25 gift cards to the museum store and more.

Door prizes will be drawn at 11:30 a.m.

The museum’s hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
