Ukraine planning nuclear provocation on Friday – Moscow –Kiev is set on attacking the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant during a visit by the UN chief, the Russian military claims | 18 Aug 2022 | Ukraine plans to carry out artillery strikes on the Russia-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on Friday, and then accuse Russia of causing a disaster at the site, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday. The predicted attack will be timed to coincide with the ongoing visit to Ukraine by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the ministry claimed. The Russian ministry said it has detected movements of Ukrainian troops, indicating a looming “provocation.” Kiev has deployed units trained in responding to the use of weapons of mass destruction, pre-positioning them to report a radiation leak and demonstrate a purported action to mitigate it, Russian military spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
 
U.S. military left over $7 billion of military equipment to Taliban, IG report confirms –The inventory left behind in Afghanistan included more than 4 billion worth of armored vehicles | 18 Aug 2022 | The U.S. government left behind more than 7 billion in military equipment when it pulled out of Afghanistan during a chaotic and deadly withdrawal last year, an inspector general confirmed Tuesday. A Defense Department inspector general report explained that the majority of the 7 billion left behind in equipment in the country consisted of tactical ground vehicles such as Humvees and mine-resistant MRAPS. The Afghan military possessed a ground vehicle inventory worth about 4.12 billion when Kabul fell to the Taliban in mid-August 2021.
 
German security official warns about ‘enemies of the state’ –North Rhine-Westphalia’s interior minister has said the energy crisis and rising prices could be exploited by conspiracy theorists | 17 Aug 2022 | The current energy crisis and inflation could lead to protests in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia, the region’s interior minister has warned. Herbert Reul added that these issues are being exploited by conspiracy theorists, whom he described as a threat to the German state. Appearing on n-tv’s Fruhstart program on Monday, Reul said, “We’re now no longer talking about protesters, but rather almost something like new enemies of the state, who are establishing themselves there.” The official expressed concern that, when things like the “energy crisis, prices, a cold living room” become “really tangible,” conspiracy theorists’ narratives could gain more currency among the population. WEF Announces Recruitment of ‘Information Warriors’ to Control the Social Media Narrative | 17 Aug 2022 | The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced it has recruited hundreds of thousands of “information warriors” to control the internet, policing social media and forums for “misinformation” and conspiracy content which will then be systematically shut down. According to Klaus Schwab’s WEF, misinformation on the internet is an “infodemic” that is “potentially deadly” and requires a “cure.” The definition of misinformation, according to the WEF, is anything they disagree with. This means the information warriors will essentially be engaged in the act of shutting down dissent… Announcing the news on a WEF podcast, UN communications director Melissa Fleming said, “So far, we’ve recruited 110,000 information volunteers, and we equip these information volunteers with the kind of knowledge about how misinformation spreads and ask them to serve as kind of ‘digital first-responders’ in those spaces where misinformation travels.”
 

RNA for Moderna’s Omicron Booster Manufactured By CIA-Linked Company –Since late last year, messenger RNA for Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines, including its recently reformulated Omicron booster, has been exclusively manufactured by a little known company with significant ties to US intelligence. | 17 Aug 2022 | Earlier this week, the United Kingdom became the first country to approve Moderna’s reformulated version of its COVID-19 vaccine, which claims to provide protection against both the original form of the virus and the significantly less lethal but more transmissible Omicron variant… However, unlike the company’s original COVID-19 vaccine, the genetic material, or messenger RNA (mRNA), for this new vaccine, including the newly formulated genetic material meant to provide protection against the Omicron variant, is being manufactured not by Moderna but by a relatively new company that has received hardly any media attention, despite its overt links to US intelligence. Last September, it was quietly announced that a company called National Resilience (Resilience) would begin manufacturing the mRNA for Moderna COVID-19 vaccine products. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, “Resilience will produce mRNA for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at its facility in Mississauga, Ontario, for distribution worldwide.” …In April 2021, National Resilience acquired Ology Bioservices Inc., which had received a 37 million contract from the US military the previous November to develop an advanced anti-COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment… More recently, in 2022, the company has announced a few new clients – Takeda, Opus Genetics and the U.S. Department of Defense. 

Because shots one through four worked so well: Quebec will offer 5th dose of COVID-19 vaccine to all adults as of Aug. 29 | 16 Aug 2022 | With the upcoming school year and the return to work looming for many Quebecers, the province is launching a new COVID-19 vaccination campaign. In his first appearance at a COVID-19 news conference in six months, Premier François Legault said life is almost back to normal thanks to the vaccine. He’s urging people who have not had a dose in the past five months or more to get another shot. Quebecers aged 75 and over can make an appointment to get a fifth dose against the virus as of today. Health personnel are also allowed to take advantage of this priority period. Those over the age of 60 can book their appointment starting Monday, along with those 12 and older who have health conditions making them especially vulnerable to COVID-19. Anyone who is over the age of 18 will be able to book their shot starting Aug. 29. 

Marine Faces Court Martial for Not Taking COVID-19 Vaccine, Refuses to Be Sent Back to US for Trial | 17 Aug 2022 | Lance Corporal Catherine Arnett is on the brink of court martial for decisions made in opposition to what she considers an “unlawful order” to take a COVID-19 vaccination shot. Immediately following the secretary of defense’s order to vaccinate against COVID-19 on Aug. 24, 2021, Arnett sought religious exemption–which was denied the following month. Having submitted her appeal against the decision in November, it was denied in January 2022. This began an administrative separation process from the Marine Corps, prompting Arnett to declare she “cannot consent to it.” The 24-year-old Lance Corporal held firm in her beliefs, telling The Epoch Times, “If your mandate is illegal, then your separation orders are illegal.” In April 2022, Arnett received a letter from her command, giving her 30 days to leave Japan and report to California’s Camp Pendleton to be processed for separation.

Top US health official admits ‘dramatic mistakes’ in tackling Covid –CDC announces shake-up to improve agency’s response to emergencies after series of mistakes | 17 Aug 2022 | The director of the top US public health agency has admitted the organisation made some “pretty dramatic, pretty public mistakes” in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and unveiled a shake-up of personnel and policies designed to improve its response to emergency situations. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said on Wednesday the planned reforms would improve accountability and “timeliness of response” at the agency, which is responsible for protecting Americans from disease and other public health threats. The CDC’s handling of the pandemic has come under stinging criticism from some health experts who contend it has become overly politicised and failed to collect important data needed to slow the spread of Covid or promote rapid testing.
 
Trump is privately pushing the theory the attack on an Ohio FBI office by a Trump supporter was a false flag, report says | 17 Aug 2022 | Former President Donald Trump is suggesting to those around him that one of his supporters who was shot dead attempting to breach an FBI building was actually part of a false flag operation, Rolling Stone reported. Trump has been publicly silent about the armed man who, on August 11, tried to enter the FBI office near Cincinnati, Ohio, prompting a standoff with police in which he was killed. Ricky Shiffer had been on the agency’s radar for months over potential involvement in the Capitol riot, The New York Times reported. Posts from a Truth Social account in his name expressed fury at the agency after it raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, and described his attention to attack the FBI.
 
Judge orders part of documents on Trump FBI raid unsealed –The federal government has one week to submit the proposed redactions | 18 Aug 2022 | A Florida judge Thursday ordered some of the documents related to the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate to be unsealed. U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart said the affidavit should not be entirely sealed. The federal government has one week to submit the proposed redactions, which Reinhart will review, Fox News reported. The judge will decide at that point if he wants to make his own redactions. He also stated that if the media or the government object to his proposed redactions, they are able to file an appeal.
 
Trump Organization CFO pleads guilty to tax fraud in deal requiring him to testify –Weisselberg faces about five months in jail and a 2 million fine. | 18 Aug 2022 | Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg pleaded guilty Thursday in a Manhattan court to charges related to tax fraud as part of a deal that will require him to testify in a case about former President Donald Trump’s real estate company’s business practices. Prosecutors accused Weisselberg, 75, of being paid more than 1.7 million “off the books” over the years by Trump’s company to avoid taxes. Weisselberg, who pleaded guilty to all 15 counts, is the only person to face criminal charges until this point in the Manhattan district attorney’s probe of The Trump Organization’s business practices. Officials expected him to plead guilty earlier this week as part of the plea deal. Judge Juan Manuel Merchan agreed to sentence Weisselberg to five months in jail followed by five years of probation along with a 2 million fine, The Associated Press reported.
 
Two traitors in a pea-pod: McConnell quiet on Cheney primary loss after previously expressing support for congresswoman –GOP Rep. Liz Cheney was blown out in her primary Tuesday night | 17 Aug 2022 | Senate Minority Leader Mitch [deep-state dirt-bag] McConnell Wednesday is silent on Rep. Liz Cheney’s primary loss Tuesday night, after previously supporting the anti-Trump congresswoman against her critics. Cheney, R-Wyo., lost to her Trump-backed primary opponent Harriet Hageman by a massive margin of 66% to 29%. The result was widely expected after Cheney became one of the most vocal critics of former President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol by a mob of his supporters. Representatives for McConnell, R-Ky., did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital Wednesday morning. A representative for the second-ranking Senate Republican, GOP Whip John Thune, R-S.D., also did not provide comment in response to a request from Fox News Digital Wednesday.  
 
Liz Cheney Compares Herself to Abraham Lincoln in Concession Speech | 16 Aug 2022 | Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) compared herself to former President Abraham Lincoln during her concession speech shortly after her loss to Trump-backed Republican challenger Harriet Hageman. Cheney claimed she lost her primary election only because she failed to “go along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election.” …She then compared herself to Lincoln, who saved the nation during our Civil War. “The great original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the house before he won the most important election of all,” Cheney said. “Lincoln ultimately prevailed. He saved our union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history.” She also quoted Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address and claimed that Americans’ “highest duty” is to “protect the foundations of this constitutional republic.”
 
Cheney loses primary reelection bid to Trump-backed Hageman in Wyoming –Cheney’s loss was widely expected, after trailing by double-digits for most of her campaign | 16 Aug 2022 | Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney lost her bid Tuesday night for a fourth term, becoming the most high-profile Republican to vote to impeach former President Trump over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and lose reelection this year. Cheney was defeated by Trump-backed attorney Harriet Hageman in the Wyoming GOP primary. The Associated Press officially called the race for Hageman at 10:21p.m. Cheney conceded the race, saying, “Tonight Harriet Hageman has received the most votes… She has won.”  
 
Texas school removes dozens of books, including the Bible, for review –Books that were challenged last year will be reviewed to make sure they follow the school’s new materials policy | 17 Aug 2022 | A school district near Fort Worth, Texas, is having staff remove and review dozens of books that were challenged last year, including the Bible and a graphic adaptation of Anne Frank’s diary. Ahead of the 2022 school year, the Keller Independent School District sent out an email asking for staff and librarians to pull 41 previously challenged books from libraries and classrooms. School faculty will review to ensure they follow the district’s new materials curriculum that was adopted earlier this month. The policy prohibits “instructional materials that are pervasively vulgar, obscene, or adopt, support or promote subject matter that has been prohibited by law” or the district. Any parent, employee, district resident or student over the age of 18 may challenge instructional materials.
