The annual Old Shiloh cemetery picnic is scheduled for Monday, July 4at noon, preceded by the Annual Business meeting is at 10:00 with the election of Committee Members.
“Sons of the Confederacy,” Mt. Enterprise chapter, a Civil War Re-Enactment group will stage a battle, replete with cannons, at 11:00 preceding lunch.
There are 13 Civil War veterans interred in the cemetery, along with dozens of
WW I, WW II and Korean veterans.
All military graves are marked with American flags.
Old Shiloh Cemetery is located approximately seven miles n/e of Mt. Enterprise on highway 315.
The cemetery dates to 1853, is a perpetual care cemetery and has been expanded twice in the last twenty years.
Families interested in reserving a burial plot may meet with cemetery Sexton Paul Jett.
