Yesterday, Texas A&M Forest Service firefighters responded to 14 wildfires that burned approximately 250 acres.
This week marks the third week in a row with a dominant high pressure system over the state. This means that above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall is again forecast for the state.
Very high fire danger and critically dry fuels will combine to support wildfire activity through today in the Hill Country, Cross Timbers, Central Texas and southeast Rolling Plains.
There are currently 163 counties with burn bans.

- Dempsey Fire, Palo Pinto County – est. 11,587 acres, 18% contained
- Archer Fire, Blanco County – 462.8 acres, 80% contained
- County Road P Fire, Childress County – 41 acres, 75% contained
- Pinion Road Fire, Real County – 2 acres, 95% contained

- Pineland Drive Fire, Trinity County – 207 acres
- Wind Row Fire, Caldwell County – 4.8 acres
- Kendall Fire, McLennan County – 51 acres
- Hot Rail Fire, Williamson County – 16 acres
- Sabine 3463 Fire, Sabine County – 3.1 acres
- Cherokee 3443 Fire, Cherokee County – 8 acres
- Hamff Lake Fire, Lee Fire – 2.5 acres
- Fish Fry Fire, Archer County – 76 acres
- Big Sniff Fire, Colorado County – 56 acres
- Navarro 3445 Fire, Navarro County – 17 acres
- San Augustine 3458 Fire, San Augustine County – 8 acres
- Morris 3461 Fire, Morris County – 2 acres
- Red River 3452 Fire, Red River County – 20 acres
- Rusk 3456 Fire, Rusk County – 11 acres
- Jasper 3449 Fire, Jasper County – 1.5 acres
