Rep. Slaton Condemns Cornyn

GREENVILLE, TEXAS – Following U.S. Senator John Cornyn’s vote to betray Texas Republicans and instead join with Democrats to advance gun control in Congress, conservative Republican State Rep. Bryan Slaton condemned the lawmaker for his cowardly betrayal and pledged to fight against attempts to enact gun control legislation in Texas.

Representative Slaton issued the following statement:

“Senator John Cornyn’s betrayal is nothing less than an act of cowardice. I will be fighting to ensure Texas never even considers taking his bribe to pass red flag laws or any other gun control policies. Texas Republicans are tired of being sold out by the leaders of their own party. Now is the time to unite against the Democrats, not join them in passing their agenda.”
