Help neighbors in need: Save local lives by donating blood

LONGVIEW, Texas (June 13, 2022) – Donating blood is an easy, healthy way to help fellow Texans and support the well-being of the local community.

People need blood at all hours of every day. They include older adults with age-related health issues, mothers experiencing difficulties during childbirth, auto accident and trauma patients, children with anemia, and many others who depend on an available community blood supply.

Sharon Shrine Jeep Patrol invites area residents to support neighbors in need by donating at the Carter BloodCare drive from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 16. The blood drive takes place at 3044 N. Texas Oncology Longview Cancer Center invites Longview residents to give at the Carter BloodCare drive from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, June 17. The drive takes place at 1300 Fourth St. in the parking lot on the Carter BloodCare bus. For details or to set a time to donate to save local lives, contact Donna Case at (903) 757-2122.
Saint Matthews Catholic Church invites local neighbors to donate at the Carter BloodCare drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19. The blood drive takes place at 2800 Pine Tree Road in the parish hall. For details or to set a time to donate to save local lives, contact Eric Bartlett at (903) 576-2552.
