– (June 8, 2022) – This June, Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of fun-filled summer events and activities for the whole family now through Labor Day in historic Grapevine, Texas.

 

Summertime in Grapevine features something for everyone, from indoor and outdoor adventures to fine dining, shopping, a July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza and much more. Visitors can splash into fun at the Grapevine Lake or at one of the area’s exceptional hotels like Gaylord Texan Resort’s SummerFest or Great Wolf Lodge’s indoor waterpark, meet colorful characters on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, build a racecar at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, get up close and personal with creatures of the deep at SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium, explore imagination at Peppa Pig World of Play, and learn about Grapevine’s history at Nash Farm or one of Grapevine’s Museums. Fine dining connoisseurs can enjoy summer evenings on Historic Main Street, home to European-style food hall Harvest Hall, family-owned dining establishments and seven award-winning winery tasting rooms, all against a backdrop of live music. Shopping enthusiasts can shop ’til they drop in Historic Downtown Grapevine, at Grapevine MillsGrapevine Towne Center and Bass Pro Shops. Film and theatre buffs can discover zany characters and figure out “whodunnit” at the Texas Star Dinner Theater or take in a classic movie at the historic Palace Theatre. Whatever you choose, there’s something for everyone on a Summertime in Grapevine getaway!

 

Summer 2022 Highlights Include:

40th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza
The whole family can celebrate America’s birthday at the 40th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, complete with spectacular fireworks set to patriotic music. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. Viewing locations are listed here and include some of Grapevine’s lakeside parks. Parking / entry fees may apply.

Fun in the Sun: Recreation at Grapevine Lake, Waterparks and More

Grapevine Lake is a center for boating, water-skiing, wind surfing, fishing and camping with a sprawling 8,000 acres. The lake is also one of the finest hiking and biking destinations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with a beautiful rolling shoreline and more than nine miles of wilderness trails. Visitors can learn to surf, ride a stand-up paddleboard or take a tour with DFW Surf. Yoga enthusiasts can enjoy yoga on the lake with SUP Yoga. Scott’s Landing Marina, the largest marina on the lake, provides easy access to the main body of Grapevine Lake, and Silver Lake Marina is home to many charter companies that include Island Bound AdventuresBlack Watch Sailing Charters and Sam’s Dock. Additionally, a visit to Grapevine isn’t complete without stopping by the area’s fun-filled waterparks. Great Wolf Lodge is the largest indoor waterpark in North Texas, with slides ranging from a six-story funnel to a kiddie version, wave pool, lazy river and more. Paradise Springs, Gaylord Texan Resort’s waterpark, includes a 10-acre outdoor pool complex, 6,000-square-foot family lagoon, giant water playhouse, 600-foot-long lazy river and multiple winding waterslides. Dove Waterpark offers two slides, a diving board, lily pad crossing and zero depth entry perfect for the littlest of swimmers. And the WhoaZone features an action-packed floating obstacle course and KidsZone (new for 2022) for ages 4-7. Too much for one day? With nearly 6,000 hotel rooms within 10 minutes of Historic Downtown Grapevine and great attractions, there’s always a place to stay.
