Ocean depths, outer space, and imaginary worlds fascinate perhaps because they help us think of a different life or existence. In this issue we explore the sculpture of Randy Martin. His art offers a portal to fantastic other realms while moving gracefully in the wind.

Romance also has the power to stir the imagination. The voice of Tyler-born Arthur “Dooley” Wilson carries us to the wartime set of Casablanca with his famous performance of the song, “As Time Goes By.” His performance in the film is a poignant romantic memory that continues to inspire.

Martin Creates Captivating Metal and Kinetic Art

Graceful objets de art by Randolph Martin spin gracefully in the wind and create the illusion of flying in the air or floating on the sea. He attaches metal bats, dragons, mermaids, ravens, sailboats, and dragonflies to a steel bearing that allows the kinetic sculptures to turn gently in the breeze.

The mystic spinning figures add a relaxing ambiance to outdoor settings and are popular among Martin’s many clients.
