TEHP Lauds CMS for Reinstating Medicaid Funding
Austin – Texas Essential Healthcare Partnership (TEHP) today lauded the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for reinstating Medicaid funding of Texas’ Directed Payment Programs (DPPs) which fund basic healthcare services for Texas uninsured and underinsured.
“Today’s decision by CMS to reinstate funding for Texas’ DPPs is a welcome relief to the millions of Texans who rely on this funding for their basic healthcare,” said Don Lee, President of TEHP. “In the wake of this approval, it is essential that CMS work with the state of Texas to ensure these critical Medicaid dollars reach safety net hospitals as quickly as possible. Time is of the essence to ensure access to care for the millions of Texans who rely on Medicaid.”
