Each Year the Town of Gilmer, Texas hosts the East Texas Jamboree. This is a real Event. At first I did not believe it, but it is. In fact, It is a Major Event in Gilmer each Year. They even have a Yamboree Ball and Crown a Queen each year. When I found out about the event, I had to see it for myself. Upon arrival, I was shocked at how large it is. It is so large that there are several venues for different events throughout the town. There is a large Carnival, a Livestock Auction, Vendors, A Gala Ball, and many competitions including a Yam Pie Contest and a Photography Contest. I was blown away at how large the event is!
