Perot Learned Business Acumen in Texarkana H. Ross Perot was born in Texarkana on June 27, 1930, and attended schools there through junior college. He founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and ran for president of the United States. Fortune magazine named him the “fastest, richest Texan” in a 1968 cover story. He sold EDS to General Motors for $2.4 billion in 1984. He was a lifetime advocate for veterans and prisoners of war. A bridge and state-of-the-art theatre in Texarkana are named for him as well as the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. READ MORE |
