OP-ED: EARLY VOTING IS THE BEST METHOD IN 2026

Early voting begins Monday October 19th. I plan to “Vote Early”, although perhaps I may not get it done on Day #1 (Oct. 19th),  I am more likely to vote on Day #2 or at least sometime during the first week of early voting.

I encourage most people to try this method. I know there are some die-hards who want to wait until the last minute on the actual election-day to cast a ballot. But, that is taking unnecessary risks. A person never knows if they might be sick, get into an accident or have an unforeseen emergency on Election Day proper.  By voting early, a voter can rest easy, knowing that he/ she did their civic duty.

I like that option for all the reasons cited –, and others. I think it allows for gradual traffic at the polls — both, foot-traffic and car-traffic in the parking-lots.

It is just plain SMART to vote early, and make your vote count in Texas.

It is a “Git ‘R Done” type of year. Get your Vote done promptly.  People get sick; People die; lock in your ballot while you can.
