CHRISTUS Health opens new, larger behavioral health clinic in Tyler
(TYLER, Texas) – CHRISTUS Health is expanding access to behavioral health services in Tyler with the opening of a new, larger behavioral health clinic designed to provide integrated care for patients across a range of ages and needs.
Located on the first floor of the Saunders Clinic building at 417 S. Saunders Ave., the clinic offers a larger, more expansive space for CHRISTUS providers, including adult and pediatric psychologists, behavioral health specialists and licensed social workers.
The move to a larger location reflects the growing need for mental and behavioral health services. According to the World Health Organization, more than one billion people worldwide live with mental health conditions, yet most do not receive adequate care.
“The need for mental health services continues to grow around the world, and East Texas is no exception,” said Erin Acker, vice president of physician practice operation for CHRISTUS Health. “We believe caring for the whole person means caring for both the physical and mental aspects of health. This new, larger clinic space is one way we are working to meet that need by making behavioral health services more accessible to the people we serve.”
In addition, the clinic provides adult ADHD services and personality disorder services, providing structured and evidence-based care for individuals with complex emotional and relational challenges.
