UT Tyler Engineering Program Advances in US News and World Report Ranking Undergraduate engineering ranked No. 55
TYLER, Texas (September 23, 2026) – The University of Texas at Tyler undergraduate engineering program has advanced in the top 100 nationwide rankings, according to recent U.S. News and World Report rankings. UT Tyler engineering ranks 55th in the nation – the highest ranked Texas public institution and second overall in the state – for undergraduate programs that do not offer a doctorate.
The program rose in the rankings from 60th last year and has consistently been in the U.S. News top 100 rankings over the last eight years.
“Our rise in the rankings is a testament to the quality of our academic programs and the success of our students,” said Dr. Javier Kypuros, dean of the College of Engineering. “Every day, our dedicated faculty work to equip students with the knowledge, skills and hands-on experiences they need to excel in a rapidly evolving engineering profession.”
