HUNT COUNTY FATAL CRASH

Hunt County – On September 19, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Highway Patrol (HP) responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Road (CR) 3609.

Preliminary investigation indicated a 2017 Ford Expedition was traveling south on CR 3609. The driver was traveling at an unsafe speed and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver of the Ford, Corey Shane Tacker, 26-year-old from Wills Point, TX, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
