UT Tyler Fall Enrollment Continues Growth Trend 

Fall 2026 Preliminary Enrollment Increases to 11,701 Students, Largest Freshman Class 

TYLER, Texas (September 14, 2026) – The University of Texas at Tyler is marking another increase  this fall, reaching its highest total enrollment to date. The preliminary enrollment as of the Sept. 8  census date is 11,701 students.

The university also enrolled the largest freshman class — the UT Tyler class of 2030 — with a  preliminary enrollment of 1,667 students. UT Tyler continues to focus on student success and the  student experience.

“As our university continues to grow, we remain focused on delivering an exceptional student  experience, expanding access to opportunity and preparing graduates to make a difference in their  communities,” said UT Tyler President Julie V. Philley, MD.

UT Tyler is taking a comprehensive approach to managing current growth while preparing for future  demand. This summer, the university expanded parking and moved forward with plans for a 390- bed housing facility and parking garage.
