UT Tyler Presents Fall 2026 Art Show at Meadows Gallery 

Public reception for “Selections from the Permanent Collection” will be Sept. 10 at gallery 

TYLER, Texas (August 21, 2026) – The University of Texas at Tyler Department of Art and Art History  will present “Selections from the Permanent Collection” Aug. 24 – Oct. 30, at the UT Tyler Meadows  Gallery, located in the R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center.

The exhibition features work chosen from the department’s permanent art collection, which  includes pieces acquired from 37 international and local artists, including UT Tyler alumni. A public  reception will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the gallery.

“We’re excited to showcase the variety of work included in the Department of Art and Art History’s  permanent collection in this unique show,” said Madison Branch, UT Tyler gallery, community  outreach and education coordinator. “Most of the work was purchased from our Annual  International Exhibition, which the department has been hosting for more than 40 years.”

UT Tyler alumni featured in this exhibition are listed by hometown.
