Deborah and her husband have been caregiving for their son, a Navy Veteran, for the past 8 years. They are in a group of parents who care for a Veteran child. This comes with unique challenges only others in the same group can understand. The online Building Better Caregivers® (BBC) workshop became their lifeline, providing them with support from other caregivers to help them become a stronger person and a better caregiver.
Joining the BuildingBetterCaregivers® online workshop offers you new techniques to improve your caregiving skills and to ensure you’re taking care of yourself as well. It’s a small group of caregivers of Veterans who know what you’re going through. Trained leaders guide you in learning ways to better manage your loved one’s emotions and other challenges of caring for a Veteran child. With no set group time, you can log on when it’s convenient for you.
Join us. It might just be the group you’ll find you can’t live without.
You must meet criteria and be willing to participate in the Caregiver Support Program in either the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) or the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS).
