Op-Ed: Complacency of the American people a great danger to the world

Complacency of the American people is one of the greatest dangers to the world at this time. When the U.S./Iran War began, everyone in the United States was captivated. A country of Hollywood, guns, and F150’s seeing big explosions? Hell yeah! And then it became very clear that Iran had our number. Strategically outplayed us, and boxed us into a corner.
But far worse than this, Trump had fallen right into the Hormuz trap and had absolutely no ability to solve it. Oil prices skyrocketed to $125/barrel, the fertilizer crisis was all over the news, and a global economic depression seemed to be just weeks away.
Every American was SCREAMING for Trump to get us out of this mess. Make a deal before catastrophe! … but then five months passed. In those five months, nothing has been fixed. More Americans have been killed, more civilians have been killed, the global economy is increasingly fragile… But no big explosions to capture the attention. Americans have become complacent at this worst possible time. There have been at least 1.4 BILLION barrels of oil lost during this conflict.
The Japanese Yen is on the verge of complete collapse. Fertilizer losses will cause food shortages. The South Korean stock market just had one of its worst days in history. American bond yields are through the roof. Refined products are skyrocketing. Diesel is now double the price of Brent…
And President Trump is erratic. He is facing down one of the greatest foreign policy failures in American history. A tarnishing of his legacy to rival Epstein. Corruption running rampant every step of the way… He’s erratic. He’s dangerous. And the American people have gone quiet.
Now is not the time for complacency. Now is not the time to be silent. As Americans, as citizens of the world, it is our duty to continue to voice our opposition to this illegal, immoral, and unjust war of choice.
We need to push back TOGETHER against continuing down this path of escalation that will only lead to greater death and destruction. Nothing good will come from returning to all our war. We need to speak out. Together.
