BBB Hosts “Lunch. Learn. Lead: From Vision to Victory” Workshop for Local Business Owners

TYLER, Texas – August 14, 2026 – BBB East Texas will host the next session of its Lunch. Learn. Lead. series, “From Vision to Victory,” on Wednesday, September 9 at BBB East Texas offices, 6115 New Copeland Rd, Ste 710, in Tyler. The workshop is built for business owners who know where they want their business to go but haven’t mapped the path to get there.

Lunch. Learn. Lead. is BBB East Texas’s monthly workshop series, taught by local business leaders on the topics our business community asks for most. This session tackles one of the hardest questions owners face: how do you turn a five-year vision into a plan you can actually execute?

“Most business owners have goals, but may not have real direction on how to achieve them,” said Mechele Mills, President and CEO of BBB East Texas. “This workshop is about closing that gap with a real, step-by-step plan.”

Rather than starting with a blank page, attendees will start with a goal they already have and work backward. They’ll leave with a concrete action plan that connects where their business is today to where they want it to be, with clarity on what has to change, what has to be built, and what has to happen first.

The session will work through the real questions growth demands, including what your team needs to look like when you’ve hit your goal and how to find those people, whether your current systems and technology can scale or will break first, which growth engines actually fit your business model, whether your path is organic growth or acquisition and expansion, and what your financial picture needs to look like at each stage.

This is not a goal-setting workshop. Attendees are asked to bring a goal they already have so the time can be spent turning it into an executable plan.

The session will be led by Micheal Lavender and Alden Warr of Lavender | Warr, a Tyler-based strategy consulting firm that advises clients on financial strategy, data analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and growth. Micheal Lavender is the firm’s President and Founder, and Alden Warr is VP and Managing Member. Warr has built and successfully exited several companies of his own and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in finance from Texas A&M University. Together they’ve spent their careers helping owners answer the exact questions this workshop tackles: how to scale, when to grow organically versus acquire, and what the numbers need to look like at every stage. Whether an owner’s five-year vision is doubling in size, selling the business, stepping out of the day-to-day, or building something to hand to the next generation, this workshop offers the framework to make it real.

Tickets are $5 for Accredited Businesses and $40 for Non-Accredited Businesses. Seating is limited, and participants are encouraged to register early at bbb.org.
