NOTICE OF MEETING TO CONSIDER FY 2027 PROPOSED BUDGET

The Upshur County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing on the FY 2027 Proposed Budget for Upshur County at 10:00 a.m. on August 31, 2026 in a meeting to be held in the County Courtroom, Upshur County Courthouse, 150 East Jefferson, Room 202, Gilmer, Texas. (located immediately on the Northeast side of the square). The proposed budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $ 598,490 or 3.21 %, and of that amount, $ 500,274 or 83.60 % is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
