recurring fees, no forced cloud, with all documents kept on their own computer. SoftMaker is aiming
squarely at everyone who would rather own their software than subscribe to it.
SoftMaker Office Professional 2026 includes the word processor TextMaker, the spreadsheet application
PlanMaker and the presentation program Presentations for Windows, Mac and Linux. All three use the
Microsoft formats DOCX, XLSX and PPTX as their standard file formats and exchange documents with
Microsoft Office without any detours.

Calculating without detours: dynamic arrays in PlanMaker
The most striking innovation is in the spreadsheet. With dynamic arrays, a single formula returns several
results that automatically spill into the neighboring cells and update on their own whenever the data
changes. Functions such as FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE and SEQUENCE make dynamic evaluations possible
without helper columns. Added to these are XLOOKUP as the flexible successor to VLOOKUP, XMATCH and
further new calculation functions. Pivot charts present the data of a pivot table as an interactive graphic.
A finer touch for text and teamwork
Working in a team becomes more convenient in TextMaker: comments can now be answered and marked as
resolved, and the display of tracked changes is set once for the whole program instead of in every document.
In the improved outline view, headings can be moved along with all their sublevels by drag and drop. New is
the import and export of Markdown, the file format of many note-taking apps, and TextMaker now creates
DOCX files so that Microsoft Word opens them without a compatibility prompt. For German-language
writing, the suite also includes the new version of the Duden Korrektor for spelling, grammar and style.
Modern design, thoughtful operation
SoftMaker Office Professional 2026 presents itself with a reworked ribbon that stays razor-sharp even at the
150% display scaling common on laptops, and with a noticeably darker dark mode. New context menus with
an integrated toolbar place frequently used commands right at the mouse pointer. With the new color
themes, documents, spreadsheets and presentations take on a new color design at the click of a button.
Added to this are a print dialog with an integrated preview, support for emojis, and multiline and EPC QR
codes – the latter, for example, for bank transfers by scan. PDF joins as a new graphics format, so PDF files
can be inserted into all three programs in full vector quality.
Handy tools in Presentations
Presentations gains the highlighter familiar from TextMaker and PlanMaker for emphasizing important
passages. Inserted PDF graphics stay razor-sharp thanks to vector quality, even on large projection screens.

version; owners of a previous version can upgrade at a reduced price of €/US$ 69.95. The license is
permanent and may be used on up to five computers running Windows, Mac and Linux.
