| Letter from the Executive Director Rob Hughes Come Join Us at the TFA Annual Conference One thing I’ve learned after a lot of years in forestry is that this business has always been about people and relationships. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside many of you in the woods, at mills, around board tables, at the Capitol, and everywhere in between. That’s probably why the TFA Annual Conference remains one of my favorite events of the year. Registration is now open, and our planning team has worked hard to put together a conference that is professional, relevant, and a lot of fun. We’ll have a great program, but I’ve always believed the best part of a TFA conference is simply getting our forestry community together. Our sponsors and exhibitors are a big part of that, too. These aren’t just companies filling booths; they’re friends, partners, customers, and people who invest in our industry and help make TFA what it is. Some of the best conversations I’ve had at our conference never happened behind a microphone. They happened in the hallway, over a cup of coffee, at an exhibitor’s booth, or sitting around a table with people who care about the future of Texas forestry. That kind of connection is hard to put a price on. So come learn a little, laugh a little, reconnect with some old friends and hopefully make a few new ones. That’s what TFA is all about, and I hope you’ll join us October 28–30 at Margaritaville Lake Conroe. -Rob |
