| | | | North Texas Bookstores Invite Readers to Explore Independent bookstores are thriving, and this August, North Texas readers have an opportunity to experience that growth firsthand. Thirty-one independent bookstores, representing 33 locations across the Dallas–Fort Worth region, are joining forces for the Second Annual North Texas Bookstore Crawl. The month-long event invites readers to discover new bookstores, collect passport stamps, and celebrate the communities these stores serve. The Crawl celebrates the continued momentum behind independent bookselling while encouraging readers to discover the unique character, communities, and literary voices that each store brings to the region. | How the Bookstore Crawl Works Throughout August, readers can pick up a Bookstore Passport at any participating location or download one online. Visit participating bookstores and collect a stamp or signature at each stop. Completed or partially completed passports returned by August 31, 2026, will be entered into a raffle for bookstore gift cards and other prizes. Each bookstore visited earns an additional raffle entry, and no purchase is required to receive a stamp. | | | | | | | | | | Connecting Readers with Bookish Texas At Lone Star Literary Life, we believe independent bookstores are essential gathering places for readers, writers, and the communities they call home. We are proud to join this celebration of the bookstores, stories, and people that make the Texas literary community so vibrant. As you plan your bookstore visits, explore even more Texas literary voices in the 2026 Summer Reads Catalog. Inside, you will find books for children, teens, and adults, along with stories and resources created for readers across the state. | | | | The North Texas Bookstore Crawl may be a regional event, but the bookstore adventure does not have to stop there.
