Diane Kavanaugh Installed as Rotary District 5830 Governor for 2026-2027
TYLER, TEXAS –– Rotarians and community leaders from across Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma will gather on Saturday, June 27 to celebrate the installation of Diane Kavanaugh as the 2026-2027 District Governor of Rotary District 5830. In this role, Kavanaugh will provide leadership and support to Rotary clubs throughout the district as they work to strengthen communities through service, fellowship, and humanitarian initiatives.
As District Governor, Kavanaugh will serve as the chief volunteer officer for District 5830, guiding clubs that are part of Rotary International, a global network of more than 1.2 million members dedicated to creating lasting change in communities around the world.
“It is a privilege and an honor to serve as District Governor and to work alongside the extraordinary Rotarians of District 5830,” said Kavanaugh. “Our 45 clubs are filled with members who see opportunities where others see obstacles. Together, we will continue to be changemakers. And when enough Rotarians come together for a shared purpose, we don’t just make change. We create lasting impact.”
Kavanaugh has been an active member of the Rotary Club of South Tyler since 2014 and has served in numerous leadership roles at both the club and district levels. Most notably, she served as President of the Rotary Club of South Tyler during the 2020–2021 Rotary year. Throughout her Rotary service, she has remained dedicated to developing leaders, strengthening clubs, and inspiring others to embrace Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self.
Diane and her husband Jon moved to Tyler in 2012 from North Carolina. Diane is the Finance & Administration Director at PATH People Attempting to Help. She is a graduate of Leadership Tyler.
Rotary District 5830 encompasses clubs across Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. District clubs support a wide variety of initiatives, including youth leadership development, scholarships, literacy programs, community improvement projects, health initiatives, and international humanitarian efforts.
Under Kavanaugh’s leadership, the district will continue to focus on empowering clubs to grow their impact, cultivate future leaders, and embrace positive change while remaining grounded in Rotary’s enduring values of service, integrity, fellowship, and diversity.
“Rotary changes lives for both those we serve, and for us who serve,” Kavanaugh said. “I look forward to working with our clubs as we inspire one another, strengthen our communities, and continue making a difference every day.”
