Program to teach seniors how to Detect, Prevent, and Report Medicare Fraud
According to the Texas Senior Medicare Patrol program, Medicare beneficiaries and the Medicare Program lose an estimate $60-$90 billion annually due to fraud and scams.Bring a lunch-and a friend-next Wednesday, May 27th, and learn how to empower yourself and your loved ones to better identify and report Medicare Fraud.
The Senior Medicare Patrol program is sponsored in Texas by the Better Business Bureau of Houston and will be taught be Upshur County Extension Agent, Dr. Julie York.
The free program will be held between Noon and 1:00pm at Gilmer Gathers on Hwy 271 north. No RSVP is needed – just your presence and participation.

Norm Roberts from AAA will be on-site to share the resources their organization provides to senior citizens and their caregivers.
Greg Burch with the Trusted Insurance Advisors group in Gilmer will be on site to support those with specific Medicare enrollment and supplemental insurance questions.
