| Friend, Welcome to your Friday Fiscal Note. This week, we dive into a huge scandal involving former Texas Lottery Executive Director Gary Grief. He was indicted on felony charges last month over a rigged $95 million jackpot drawing in 2023. But just a few days later, the case was dismissed, and Grief appeared to get off scot-free. But the story doesn’t end there. Just two days after the initial story broke, it came to light that a jury has re-indicted him, and issued a court summons, which raises even more questions than it answers. And, earlier this week, we sent a formal letter to Texas A&M urging them to remove classes based on leftist ideologies like gender theory and identity politics before the Fall 2026 semester begins, and end the taxpayer-funding of indoctrination. Check out all this, and more, below! |
