Hunt County Fatal Crash

Hunt County – On May 2, 2026, at 6:40 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Highway Patrol (HP) responded to a single vehicle crash on State Highway 66 near County Road 2112.

 

A preliminary investigation indicates a 2024 Triumph Motorcycle was traveling south on SH-66. The driver lost control and laid the motorcycle over. The vehicle then slid into the barrow ditch. The driver was not wearing a helmet.

 

The driver of the motorcycle, George Donald Bee (68), of Fate, Texas, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

 

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
